Halloween Party

It has been way too long since we posted any news or photos, for that we apologize. Sort of. We recently held our first Halloween party since moving to AZ and it was fantastic, Gracie was a fairy, Abby was Minnie Mouse, Beth was a Dirty Martini, and I was Flava Flav. (I know what time it is)

The party was a alot of fun, everyone got into costume, from our friends to our elderly neighbors, a SPECIAL MENTION to our friend Stu Whittington, he was fantastic as Captain Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Carribean. Stu was in character the whole night and entertained everyone.

We rented a karoke machine, it's funny how one of those can turn the most reserved person into a rock star.

Sorry for not posting

Sorry to everyone who has been Bit*%&@g at me about not posting. No excuses, I have been a tad distracted with work and that is no excuse. I really should have posted considering how easy it is. So, I am dumping a whole bunch of pics on you. Have talked to everyone recently so no real news to post, see most everyone July 4th.

I will be introducing a new rib recipe that day I hope is successfull, will be doing some "test smokes" this weekend to see how it works out.

Gracie has really been cracking us all up, in the last few months she has become alot closer to a little girl in her class named Rebecca, she is a real little sweetie and Gracie and her together are a real riot, they could sell tickets to their act.

Abby is doing well hanging with her friends, they are logging alot of hours at the mall and sleepovers.

Abby is going to her first Bat Mitzfah this week for her friend Kayla Forte, she is pretty excited, got a new dress and it doesn't start till after eight per rules and regs of the ceremony so she knows they will all be staying up late, which seems to be important to her and her friends these days. LOL.

Anyways, here are a bunch of pics. I put them all in a slide show so I wouldn't have to post them all individually.

Here they are from as far back as Christmas.

Abby got a new do.

Abby is now my blonde little girl! Even though she looks way too mature for an 11 year old! But im getting used to it! She was just going to get highlights but they added to many. If thats what you call it. Gracie got her hair cut and thinks shes all that and a bag of chips now! The Hairdresser put mousse in her hair and made it curly and she now LOVES it! Aunt babsie gave gracie a hello kitty comb and she loves it. Abby asked to borrow it and this is how she reponded-"Well you can ask me to use it but, im probably gonna say no!" You had to be there it was funnier! Gracie is our little ballerina. She takes tap, ballet, and tumbling! And Abby of course is doing terrific in school. Just like her Daddy!

Halloween and stuff.

Haven't posted any pics for a while, here are a few of the latest from Halloween. This was our 2nd Halloween out here and it is still a little weird for us having 70 degree weather, not worrying about the rain. I think we may order a little cooler weather next year. LOL. Graices class was a blast when I just showed up in costume at their Halloween party.

Labor Day Pics

A few pics from our recent trip to San Diego/Coronado Island. We had a really great time, the girls caught all kinds of snails, crabs, sponges and a couple things we never identified. The rocks out on in front of the Del is loaded with sea creatures when the tide goes out. Very good time.

Abby is quite the natural on the boogie board, her only complaint was, "I want bigger waves". Gracie was more of the land lover, she wasn't crazy about those waves hitting her in the face.

Coronado gave us perfect weather, the beach was as close to perfect as it gets.

However, in case anybody was wondering, Speedo's on hairy/heavy set men is alive and well in Coronado. lol. They seem to pass laws about thong bikinis on lots of the beaches, there really needs to be a "Speedo Clause".

Gracie really wanted her hair washed, but didn't need a bath because she "was just in the swimming pool, I am not dirty" She get's that logic from her moms side of the family.

Abby may have dug the deepest hole on that beach, it was a real leg breaker when she was done. Don't quite understand our daughters fascination with digging holes.

The faint smile on Abby's face was that slight ocean breeze mixed with that COLD water. As long as you stayed in the water, it was great, get out of it,well..........

The water didn't faze her daddy though, he was properly trained in Puget Sound by Bob Elmore, that water isn't cold, "it's refreshing"

Just a little beach bunny.

Beth heading out, that water was just a tad shock to the system when you first stepped in.

Gracie wasn't totally into the ocean, but she was really loving the sand on the beach, digging big holes seems to be her specialty.

Beth rode a good one all the way in.

Beth caught the little wave, Abby stayed back waiting for a bigger one, this girl loves the ocean.

Not hard to figure this one out.

Gracie begining her castle, of course she seemed to enjoy knocking it over each time she got a few buckets started.

Nice little sunset walk.

This was a stunning sand sculpture I created, while this photo may not do it justice, it was a real close likeness to Fidel Castro.

Just a Pic for Grandma Jean, this is Gracie's new favorite dress, recognize it?
.

Abby got a new do again and wanted to try the "bangs thing" That won't last, lol, way too much work in the morning for her.
