Fathers Day Camping Trip
Here are some of photos from our camping trip this weekend. We went to Lo Lo Mai campground outside Sedona, it is like an Oasis in the middle of the dessert. It is this little stretch of streams that are fed by 4 different springs that is just a huge stretch of beautiful trees and stuff, and is home to lots of Javelina,Raccoons and SKUNKS, we got visitors each night from several of the little stinky rascals. Of course we put food out at night to draw them kind of close. lol. The girls loved it.
We went into Sedona and went to Slide Rock park and got a little wild, jumping off of big rock that would make all the grandparents shake their heads a bit. lol. What a gorgeous place Sedona is.
You can see the smoke, that is from our restaurant window in Sedona, that is the Brin wildfire getting kind of close to town, when we got home we learned the wind shifted and was going to avoid the town thank goodness.
Gracie chillin out.
Dan jumping in.
This was lunch, the girls got a taste of some freeze dried ice cream and loved it, so we got some entrees, the Chili Mac was FANTASTIC, just added hot water, waited 8 min, then ate it, GREAT over hot dogs.
Campsite.
Spring by our campsite, had little pockets that were like natuarl hot tubs, not hot though.
The sleeping Princesses in the tent.
Beth shooting the slide, lol, remember, most of this water comes from mountain runoff, FROM SNOW. LOL.
Gracie just relaxing at Slide Rock.
Abby and Beth headed up to jump off one of those rocks you grandparents don't approve of.
This would be Dan, you can't hear me, but I was screaming like a girl from that cold water at first.
Abby sliding.
This was actually down the street from us at Coon Bluff in Mesa.
Wading area at Slide Rock.
Abby after the jump.
I missed Abby in the air. You can see her splash.
